Our style is nostalgic, cinematic, and artful, with a documentary approach to both photography and videography.

We focus on emotion, connection, family, and the moments that happen naturally, rather than anything that feels overly posed or performed. We want your photos and films to feel beautiful, but still deeply true to the people, the atmosphere, and the day itself.

ILO Studio is based in Toronto, and we photograph weddings across the GTA, Southern Ontario, Vancouver, and destination locations.

We often work in Toronto, Niagara, Hamilton, Whitby, King City, Muskoka, and Vancouver.

Yes. We help with timeline flow, group photo lists, and planning enough breathing room so the day doesn’t feel rushed. Group photos and family photos are much smoother when everyone knows where to be and when.

Yes. We photograph multicultural weddings, interfaith ceremonies, Chinese tea ceremonies, Jewish weddings, Western celebrations, and weddings with layered family traditions across cultures.

Before your wedding, we will ask about the people, rituals, and moments you want documented with extra care. Whether that includes a specific cultural tradition, an outfit change, a family portrait that matters deeply, or something entirely personal to your family. We are always happy to learn what is important to you.

Super 8 is a vintage video format, real film stock, developed and scanned, not digital footage with a filter applied. It has a natural grain and warmth that makes moving images feel more like a memory than a recording.

We shoot short clips throughout your day and edit them into a 3–5 minute film set to music. The result is quieter and more intimate than traditional videography, less produced, more feelings. If you have ever watched old home footage of someone you love and felt something you could not quite name, that is the feeling we are going for.

Yes. Super 8 can be added to your wedding photography or videography coverage, and it may also be available as a standalone option depending on our availability.

It has the feeling of old family videos: warm, nostalgic, imperfect in the best way, and full of little moments you’ll want to come back to years later.

Yes. It is one of our favourite ways to work. When photo and video are covered by the same team, the day feels more cohesive. There is less coordination, less noise, and more space for everything to unfold naturally.

We offer a bundle rate when you book both together.

We protect your files carefully from the moment they’re captured, because we know these moments can’t be recreated.

We shoot on cameras with dual memory card slots, which means every image is saved to two cards simultaneously as we shoot. After the wedding, files are backed up to two separate external hard drives and cloud storage. Your photos exist in at least three places before we begin editing.

We retain your files throughout the entire editing and delivery process, and your gallery stays accessible for download for one year after delivery, so you have plenty of time to save everything and share it with family.

We don’t set a strict photo count because every wedding unfolds differently. Our focus is always on delivering a thoughtfully curated gallery that tells the full story of your day, without adding repeats just to reach a number.

For full-day coverage, most couples receive around 600–900+ edited images.

Most of our couples tell us they feel a little awkward in front of the camera, so you’re definitely not alone.

We’ll give you gentle direction when you need it, with simple prompts that help you interact with each other naturally. We’ll also make space for you to slow down, soak it all in, and actually be present together.

Our goal is never to make the day feel overly posed or performative. It’s to help you feel comfortable enough that the photos still feel honest and true to your day.

As soon as you know your date, we recommend reaching out. Summer and fall weekends can fill up quickly, and we only take on a limited number of weddings each year so each couple gets our full attention.

If your wedding is coming up sooner, please still reach out. We’re happy to accommodate shorter timelines when we can.

Yes. We know how special it is to have something to look back on right away and share with your loved ones.

For photography, we send a small set of sneak peeks within 48 hours after the wedding. For videography, we usually deliver a short teaser video within one week.
